Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about Alert Inspection Services LLC.

My name is Todd Moelker. I am the owner of Alert Inspections and would like to tell you a little about myself and what qualifies me to be your home inspector. I worked 6 years for a commercial contractor. During this time I helped build many different types of structures. I worked on everything from grocery stores to large warehouses. After that I worked for 12 years as a residential carpenter, building houses and condominiums. I have been a licensed builder for approximately 16 years. During this time I also did some concrete work and drywalling as well as roofing. When I decided to get into the home inspections field I bought the American Society of Home Inspectors [ASHI] @ HOME STUDY COURSE. This course teaches about each system of the home from roof to foundation. After passing the national home inspector?s exam I started working on becoming a member of ASHI and have now been a member of ASHI for over 6 years.

Being a member of the largest, most recognized, home inspection organization in the industry is important. As an ASHI member I have a code of conduct as well as Standards of Practice that guide how I inspect. The inspection I perform on your  home will be done to the highest standards in the industry. To stay on the cutting edge of the home inspection industry ASHI membership also requires 20 hours of continuing education each year.

As a full service home inspection company I also offer radon testing and wood destroying insect inspections. I hold national certification for radon testing and state certification for wood destroying insect inspections.

I started Alert Inspection Services in 2001 and have performed over 2,250 inspections since that time. I refer to my inspection style as solutions based inspecting. What I mean by this is that I make it a point to provide solutions to the defects and problems I find while inspecting. I don't just leaving you with a list of what's wrong but give ideas on how most of the defects we find can be remedied. The average inspection will take approximately 3 hours to complete. At the end of the inspection I fill out and print a computer generated report complete with digital photos. When you leave the inspection you have copies of all the inspections performed. As an added benefit I will also, with your permission, email the report to your Real Estate agent.

Thank You again for taking the time to learn more about Alert Inspection Services. I look forward to the opportunity to take care of your home inspection needs.
